Create an employer brand from scratch

The aim was to build Glovo’s employer brand from scratch, using internal resources and the power of social media and content to authentically show what it’s like to be a part of Glovo.

Launched Glovo’s first-ever Life at Glovo ecosystem and #LifeAtGlovo hashtag, where candidates and employees can find and share content about what it’s like to work at Glovo across the company’s departments and global offices.

@LifeAtGlovo is currently on different social media channels and platforms to communicate Glovo’s employees’ stories, company culture, and business updates in an engaging and authentic way. Using on-brand designs, EVP and values messaging, and employee-generated content. All business teams contributed content and @LifeAtGlovo became the most popular and fastest-growing social handle out of all of Glovo’s social media. 

As a part of this, we launched organic campaigns aimed at showcasing the company’s culture and values, highlighting key employer brand themes to reinforce our company narrative through employee stories. We also ran paid media campaign on LinkedIn geared toward backend engineers, women in technology, and data engineers with targeted messaging and employee-generated pictures to add a human touch. Through these, we built a targeted talent pool, drove applications, and ultimately hires.

The brief

Define Glovo’s global employer value proposition

The aim was to define Glovo’s “North Star” in how it engages candidates, addresses employees, and communicates about what it’s like to work there. The EVP is what makes working for a company special, and it acts as a key driver of talent attraction, engagement, and retention.

We built and launched Glovo’s global EVP completely in-house. The process consisted in conducting leadership interviews, an employee EVP survey, an analysis of past and current employee opinion survey feedback, and examining external candidate and employee data. We took the core insights from the data analyses and distilled them into a strategic summary and a platform statement. Combined, these make up the EVP, acting as the roadmap and guide in crafting employer-branded messaging. We completed the EVP project in 7 months.

Following its definition, we created an EVP booklet for activation, EVP video, and employee testimonial videos aimed at increasing transparency around our teams.

Tell the world, authentically and transparently, about Glovo’s culture

Created Glovo’s Yellow Book, the company’s first-ever guide to its culture and life. Together with other teams, we built a comprehensive guide into the company’s history and leadership, information about its culture and what Glovo stands for, and know more about what it’s like to work at Glovo in its various offices across the world — you’ll find it all here. In one handy booklet. This document is addressing employees, but we wanted to share the Manifesto with the world, so we published it as is, with no tweaking or switching. Pure and simple.

The brief

Provide a seamless candidate experience by designing an amazing website

Fully led the complete design and development of Glovo’s new career website with brand new functionalities, content, and visual identity, partnering with internal stakeholders and an external agency. Also optimized the candidate experience by mapping out touchpoints and working on each to make sure candidates had the best experience, analyzing everything through a candidate experience analytics platform and survey.
